Mission Statement

To develop through prayer, purposeful instruction, and a Christian worldview young people of strong character with active and creative minds, a sense of social and environmental stewardship, and the courage to act and stand on their beliefs. We stress the total development of each student: spiritual, intellectual, social, creative, emotional, and physical.

Ultimately, it is our goal to instill in our students a desire to not only love God, but to show it in practical, intentional, academic, and selfless ways. As Jesus said to the expert in the law in regards to the parable of the Good Samaritan, we seek to teach our students to “Go and do likewise,” (Luke 10:37b).

Philosophy of Education

Odessa Christian School seeks to assist parents and families in training up their children in the way they should go.  Our emphasis is on sowing the seed of the gospel of Jesus Christ in each and every student through teaching of the Word, by Christian example, through authentic worship and the utilization of a biblically-based educational focus by teachers and staff who love and revere God.

In addition, Odessa Christian School seeks to encourage learning through classroom instruction as well as through hands-on and experiential learning and exposure to and appreciation of Creation as the work of God’s hands.

Finally, we seek to honor the Lord and carry out his commands, knowing that the greatest of these are “...‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your strength and with all your mind. This is the greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself,’” (Matthew 22:37—39).

“let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith”    Hebrews 10:22a
