Academic Probation

Academic probation is determined by the Administration. A student may be placed on academic probation when the student demonstrates a need for additional tutoring or academic support, his or her grade point average on the quarter report card is lower than 2.0, or the student did not pass a course for the quarter or semester. In addition, students who are new to OCS may be placed on academic probation if the above, or any other concern arises that may seem to indicate the student may struggle academically at OCS.

The parents and student will sign an academic management plan stating the measures to be taken to correct the academic deficiency. The parents and student will remain in constant contact with administration to track the probation period and determine if the student will return to good academic standing.
