Student Technology Requirements

All students in grades K through 12 will be issued an OCS Google account that is to be used only for school purposes. Furthermore, it is recommended that parents oversee their child's initial log in to their school account (which will end in @odessachristianschool.org) to ensure parental permissions have been enabled for that account. 

Kindergarten through Grade 5:

All students must have a Chromebook (no laptops, iPads, Macs, or any device other than a Chromebook, please). Students must bring their Chromebooks to school daily, fully charged, and they must meet the following minimum requirements: 

• Ability to hold a charge for 5 hours
• Sufficient capability to connect to Wi-Fi
• Able to access the following websites: ixl.com, khanacademy.org, xtramath.org, and test.mapnwea.org

Grades 6 through 8:

All students must have a Chromebook, laptop, or Mac. Students must bring their approved device to school daily, fully charged, and they must meet the following minimum requirements: 

• Ability to hold a charge for 5 hours
• Sufficient capability to connect to Wi-Fi
• Able to access the following websites: ixl.com, khanacademy.org, xtramath.org, noredink.com, commmonlit.org, and test.mapnwea.org

Although students should bring their devices to school each day with a full charge, students are still encouraged to bring their charger to school, just in case. Alternatively, students in elementary school are welcome to leave their Chromebooks at school in the elementary studio at the charging area.
