Middle School Studio

With their foundations secure and passions ignited, OCS middle school students dive deep into content across disciplines and take the next steps to enhance and refine their learning through a variety of methods and resources. Public speaking, collaboration, visual, and written communication are a heavy focus in all areas of learning. While middle schoolers have very little "homework" if they manage their time wisely at school, it is likely they will need time outside of school for working on significant projects and mastery of more challenging work. Nonetheless, most middle school students have family time, time to hone their skills in areas of personal passion (hobbies, sports, reading, games, etc.), attend youth group, and recharge for the next day of learning. 

Middle school students typically experience 4-6 field learning trips, and 2-3 significant public presentations per year.
